Tactical Strike:

Jiyan pierces the target in mid-air, dealing Aero DMG.
Discipline:

When the next character’s (or other characters on a nearby team that activates an Outro Skill) Heavy Attack hits a target, Jiyan will summon Qinqloong to launch a Coordinated Attack, dealing Aero DMG equal to 313.40% of Jiyan’s ATK. This attack lasts for 8s, and can be triggered once every 1s. up to 2 times.
YangyangSub-DPSZephyr Domain:

Yangyang wields her sword to create a whirling vortex of winds that gathers nearby enemies to the center, dealing Aero DMG.
Cerulean Song:

Whispering Breeze:

Yangyang recovers 4 Resonance Energy per second over 5s for the next character (or other characters on a nearby team that activates an Outro Skill).
BaizhiSupportEmergency Plan:

Baizhi calls You’tan to attack the target, dealing Glacio DMG while restoring HP for the entire team.
Overflowing Frost:

Baizhi calls You’tan to perform 1 plunging attack, dealing Glacio DMG while restoring HP to all team members nearby.
Rejuvenating Flow:

Biazhi heals the next character (or other characters on a nearby team that activates an Outro Skill) by 1.54% of her Max HP every 3s for 30s. The healed character(s) also gain a 15% All-Type DMG Deepen for 6s.

Let’s address the elephant in the room first. Any team with Jiyan is automatically not a F2P team because you need to use Radiant Tides for the limited-time Jiyan Convene, which could break your bank account if you are not lucky. However, if you are so lucky that you pull Jiyan without spending money and only farming Astrite in the game, then start with Yangyang and build her Concerto Energy to provide Resonance Energy Recovery for Jiyan. Switch to Jiyan to do the same and release your Resonance Liberation skill. Switch back and forth and use Baizhi to heal when necessary or boost either Yangyang or Jiyand DMG Deepen.

If you do end up getting good Convene pulls, here is the best team composition for Mortefi in Wuthering Waves:

MortefiSub-DPSPassionate Variation:

Launch a flashing lightning of flames forward, dealing Fusion DMG.
Dissonance:

Attack the target, dealing Fusion DMG.
Rage Transposition:

The next character (or other characters on a nearby team that activates an Outro Skill) gains 38% Heavy Attack DMG Deepen for 14s or until they are switched off field.
VerinaSupportBotany Experiment:

Verina converges an energy field in front to grow foliage, dealing Spectro DMG within the range.
Verdant Growth:

Verina attacks the target, dealing Spectro DMG.
Blossom:

Verina heals the next character (or other characters on a nearby team that activates an Outro Skill) by 19% of her ATK per second for 6s. All characters on nearby teams gain 15% All-Type DMG Deepen for 30s.

If getting Jiyan was a hard RNG thing to do, now imagine pulling Verina as well – Mortefi is a bit more common since he is a four-star Resonator. Similarly to the F2P team comp, start with Mortefi and use his Outro skill after collecting enough Concerto Energy to heavily boost Jiyan’s Heavy Attack DMG Deepen. Switch to Jiyan, hit every single TD enemy there is in sight, and activate your Resonance Liberation as soon as possible. You can also use Verina to boost Mortefi, but for the most part, use her to heal your Resonators when necessary.

You will want to collect Pecok Flowers around the map to further level and ascend Jiyan so that he can make the best out of the Sub-DPS boosts he will receive for either team composition. If you are so lucky to get all of the team comp Resonators, you could also aim to unlock Jiyan’s Verdant Summit broadblade. That way, no enemy will stand a chance against your team.
