Region exclusives are nothing new in the ever-expanding world of Pokemon. However, some have unusual requirements if you want to breed them. With this in mind, let me answer the question: Can you breed Hisuian variants in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

If you love Hisuian variants, you’ll be pleased to learn that you can breed them. The downside is, there are a few more steps than usual. While it’s a little trickier to get your mitts on Hisuian Pokemon, you can train, level, and evolve them as usual.

The big question is whether you can breed Hisuian Pokémon during the famous Picnic sequences. Well, it appears to be the case, but you must collect a few items before a Hisuian Pokémon breeding venture:

Items required for Hisuain Pokemon breeding

• An Everstone: You can find these in the wild, or purchase them outright at Delibird Presents Stores for 3,000 Pokémon dollars.
• A Sandwich with Egg Power: Any sandwich that increases the chance of an Egg appearing in your basket will be handy for breeding projects.
• A Hisuian Pokemon: Naturally, you require the Pokemon you wish to breed.
• A Ditto: You can find Ditto at West Province (Area Two and Three). Ditto is also fairly common in Surprise Trade if you’re desperate.

Give the Everstone to the Hisuian Pokémon and have the Ditto in your team. With everything in place, have a Picnic. If everything goes well and your Egg Power bonus works, an Egg will appear in your basket. Walk across the world and eventually, the Egg will hatch to reveal your brand-new Hisuian Pokemon.

Which Sandwiches have Egg Power in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

Sandwiches are surprisingly complex in Scarlet and Violet, but here are a few recipes to get that coveted Egg Power.

• Jam Sandwich (Egg Power Level 1): Strawberry, Jam.
• Marmalade Sandwich (Egg Power Level 1):  Cheese, Marmalade.
• Great Peanut Butter Sandwich (Egg Power Level 2): Banana, Peanut Butter, Butter.
• Ultra Pickle Sandwich (Egg Power Level 2): Pickle, Watercress, Basil, Olive Oil.
