Where to find Durafiber Fabric and Elastic Durafiber in Star Wars Outlaws

Let's upgrade that pouch.

Two Abilities tied to The Mechanic Expert in Star Wars Outlaws are Scoundrel’s Pouch and Outlaw’s Pouch. Key to unlocking both these Abilities that each increase your Grenade and Bacta Vial carrying capacity are two items: Durafiber Fabric and Elastic Durafiber. Let’s find both!

To get to where the Durafiber Fabric is, which is shown to you in Boulder Forest on Toshara, you need to use your newly acquired Speeder boost to jump over a ravine. Easy enough — you’ll get the Speeder Jump Ability unlocked for long jumping over 60 meters, too, which is a nice bonus.

Climb up and, eventually, you meet Crimson Dawn. You can go quiet or loud here — I went quiet to not mess with my Crimson Dawn Reputation but loud works since there aren’t many guards here. Dataspike the door, open the container inside, and just like that, you have Durafiber Fabric and can now unlock Scoundrel’s Pouch.

Use eight Coarseweave, which can be found everywhere as ground loot or bought from a vendor in Mirogana, four Robuma Leather, which is also ground loot but slightly more rare and can be bought in Jaunta’s Hope, and your one Durafiber Fabric to unlock the Scoundrel’s Pouch Ability.

With Scoundrel’s Pouch acquired, we can now unlock Outlaw’s Pouch which requires 18 Coarseweave, which we know how to get, 10 Polycarbonate, which is buyable at most material and weapon vendors and is a slightly rare ground pick up, and one Elastic Durafiber. Finding the Elastic Durafiber is a bit trickier than the Durafiber Fabric as there are no hints or map indicators.

To find Elastic Durafiber in Star Wars Outlaws, you need to find the Mysterious Ship on Typhon’s Rock. I found the Mysterious Ship after leaving Toshara for a new planet and coming back.

On my second visit, I was zooming around Typhon’s Rock and a Mysterious Ship quest, much like an Event, appeared. I climbed up Typhon’s Rock by going to the north side and finding the climbable rock (make sure to grab the fall damage negation Charm here) and walked over to the Mysterious Ship.

The Mysterious Ship’s pilot is a Rogue Merchant named Shuma. You find the Elastic Durafiber in her inventory. Buy it from her for 1,400 Credits. Once you do that, open the Outlaw’s Pouch Ability and acquire it.

I later found the Mysterious Ship and Shuma on other planets, so it may be the case that you find Shuma, and therefore Elastic Durafiber Fabric, on another planet like Kijimi first. That’s only the case after learning what planets are best to travel to first.
